They’re the elastic old man jorts that are so long they might as well be capris.

He’s always wanting to race my 911 if he sees me leaving the neighborhood.

I’m more impressed that a man with his body type can enter a sports car so low like he’s some type of Romanian acrobat.

There are plenty of guys in here with 3/4/500 000 miles on 10k oil changes with plain Jane Mobil 1. At some point the head gasket goes (nothing to do with oil) and they open the motor up to find no sludge, a beautiful golden patina on all engine parts and even the factory cross hatching on the cylinder walls.

A high level of nanoscopic break-in metals in an oil analysis of the factory fill means nothing. They are smaller than the engine tolerances and are floating around in an oil film. They are too small to do any harm.

The engine oil filter removes anything big enough to cause wear.

I trust this guy in the video as a true expert in engine break in and engine oil knowledge. Does anyone have a how to video or written instructions? I want to use Penzoil platinum 0W20 oil and a Fram Synthetic Endurance filter from Walmart. Can't find the part number for that filter. Also, the drain plug torque setting but believe it will be 20-foot pounds Also believe 6 quarts of oil. Is Fram FE4967 the correct filter?

What percentage of people would actually do something like this out of 10+ million new cars sold in USA every year? Also, what percent of people even follow break in instructions in the book? I'd guess very small number. Should have some good data now showing engine issues on huge number of cars if this mattered at all...

i don't know, but i followed the break in to a letter. although it was delivered with 153 miles as it was a dealer swap.. so... who knows how much damage they did in those early miles...

generally oil every 5k. covid years messed that up a little.

up to 182.7k now. burns a little oil.

looked pretty clean 6 years ago when i did the valve cover gasket

This is the guy who incorrectly does an unnecessary oil change and blows up his truck.

When replacing new breakin oil at 500/1000 miles , are you now using the standard synthetic or another fill with breakin oil
before the next round at 5000 miles ?
