I actually watched (and napped through) F1. Someone different won! Had to be sure they didn’t arrest him on the podium!

We're big F1 fans (Fernando Alonso...or "Fred" as we call him). Though our favorite is MotoGP...the on-bike camera coverage is crazy. I haven't had a bike in thirty years but still a fan.

    Good day everyone,

Sorry about to hear about your pup Kevin, putting them down isn't easy. I keep telling my son, his dog is an evil heart thief. It's always wanting a belly rub. Especially if you are on the phone or something else that's wasting time. It a good excuse to get off.

Morning folks. WOW did it ever blow yesterday, last night and suppose to today up to 37 mph! I tried to go outside for a bit yesterday, but pretty brutal! I need to go out and check my tarps over my mowers today sometime just to make certain they are still here…LOL!
Coffee is ready! Nice! Stay safe and healthy, and make it a great day where ever you spend it!

Edit: forgot to mention how crazy the wildlife was yesterday. At least 5 rabbits chasing each other most of the day. Lots of birds holding on to the feeders as they were swinging in the wind. 4-5 squirrels very nervous in the wind. And our first hummingbird of the year fighting the wind to get nectar from blooming catmint. This morning wildlife has already started with a raccoon under the feeders.
    I love watching our wildlife!

Mark - did you get a diagnosis of your truck damage or did I overlook it? Whenever I get under mine to check the spare - my eyes immediately go to the design error that causes the frames to buckle over the axle with a rear collision. Can't believe that T's engineering management has allowed it to be carried along over the years without a remedy.

I would suspect that is Toyota’s “compression zone” similar to the front. Just a guess though.

Snowing in Rocky Mountain Ntl Park! I can see it over Long’s Peak from the front range.

Crumple zones... They are designed in for a reason. That said, usually the frame bends just in front of the trailer hitch, first. A really easy place to repair.

Looks like the severe weather threat today here in Middle Tennessee has increased

I disagree with the "deliberate" crumple zone theory......completely. The frame error is a structural mistake - allowed to persist because it allowed extra crumple without someone actually thinking about it. Someone ran a test (remember how the Feds do this) and after examining the the outcome said "Oh look, a freebie!" Hard to believe that the rather mandatory strength demanded by the trailer hitch capability is supported by that hole in the frame? Baloney.

I was an engineering manager too long to believe this failure is purposeful.

:pccoffee: Good morning Porch Pals and Sue! Had a phone meeting with the Annuity guy. :annoyed:

Now, I'm waiting on my white glove chair delivery and set up. Think I'll do some nothing before an after.
