it's something to take a look into but hard to say if it's any good, i don't know enough on that system to form an opinion. but from the looks of it, it might be worth while to look into since it claims to not be a solid state system.

Solid state controllers like S-pods/ switch pros and knock offs/ clones are based on can fail (key word is CAN, doesn't mean it will). sure it might have a life time warranty/ return policy, but a "life time warranty" and "no questions asked return policy" means nothing when you're out in but-fuck nowhere and you're system no longer works.

IMO i prefer physical switches, fuses, and relays to fall back on instead. Cheap to carry around spare relays, even cheaper to carry around a box of fuses and an extra spool of wire. There is no sealed circuit that i would need to hack open to see what burned out if i need to take a look at what had gone wrong. The only circuit board in my system is the overhead switch panel i modified off a Ford F250 truck. The two switch power wires are fused and even the LED light in there is fused, it's a really simple circuit with everything printed on one side. it might be overkill (and it is), but i prefer the redundancy.

The switch pros and the like wise are really nice for organizational purposes and doesn't leave a rat's nest behind in the truck.

I just installed the cheap "nilight led light bar 32 inch" from Amazon over the weekend. I'm very happy with the brightness. I don't have anything to compare it to, other than my headlights. It throws light much further than the high beams and spreads out the light considerably. On a test drive, it lit up some of the darkest roads in North Carolina very nicely. I haven't taken it out on the trail yet. I will say that the first 10 or 20 ft. In front of the truck are almost too bright, I.e., road glare. I might try and angle it upward a little bit in order to eliminate the extremely bright spot directly in front of the truck. The mounting brackets that came with it weren't very useful. I drilled a 1/2" hole into each of the supplied brackets and used a hose clamp around each of the aluminum bumper things. The brackets were a perfect height, but the holes didn't line up with anything. I'm sure install pictures would be better than my backyard video. I'll try and post more later. Between running the store and contemplation time. It took me about four hours, pull the grill and install the lights. While I was at it, I'd plastidipped, the chrome part of my grill and the logo emblem. https://youtu.be/WXxeaPHkabU

Got this guy built and wired up today. Just a little piece of angle iron and some washers for height. 20” curved light bar with two cali raised spot pods with amber covers.
