I have a 2924 TRD Sport and when i first purchased the truck I discussed with the dealer the big gaps between the fender flare an the body especially on the front. Has anyone else noticed this issue on thier trucks and is it suppose to be normal. The dealer here does not have any new Tacoma's on the lot for me to look at and compare

Your Gaps are NOT normal. It appears a couple of your clips are not fully seated.

I have a 2024 Windchill Pearl which has gaps of roughly 1 mm on the entirety of every fender flare. I compared mine to 3 other "white" TRD Sports on two different lots and they all have similar gaps.

The other front fender is as bad or worse and the back fenders have gaps all over them the hood scoop also has gaps. I am working with my dealer but man are they slow with getting it done. They sent me to their body shop and the body shop sent me back with they did not know what to do..... Thanks for responding does anyone have pictures of their 2024 that the fender flares do not have the gaps so I can show my dealer if I need it.
    Thanks Tim

After looking at a number of Tacomas on two different lots, it appears that gaps are normal, but should not be as large as the ones in your photo. I am attaching a photo of the top one of my fenders, you can see that mine are gapped, and as I stated in an earlier post, they are roughly 1 millimeter. One millimeter doesn't sound like much, but on a light color like Windchill Pearl they are very noticeable. The only place where my fender flares fit tightly are on the front of the truck as shown in your photo.

I had posted this same question on another forum, because quite honestly it is a bit disappointing that this would be an acceptable fit and finish tolerance by Toyota. What I noticed on several trucks is that the black fender flares on the off road models provide a much tighter fit than the body colored. Good luck on getting your issue resolved and be sure to follow up.

Photo makes it appear a bit worse than in person.

They need to take pictures & contact toyota / FSE....
Not trying to piece it back together by the bodyshop...
Ultimately the BS may need to get involved but dont want to use generic clips & double sided tape to just get you down the road....:D

I would reach out to Toyota direct. This should be a no brainer for the dealer to fix. The flare looks like it's about to fall off.

My dealer contacted toyota, they are sending new fender flares for the dealer to apply. I will send pictures when this is done. I really do like this truck, I had a 2013 Tundra TRD/SR5 with the 5.7 I really like the truck but since I retired it was more than I needed. I do miss it. I have a programer for the Tundra which I need to sell now....

Update of fender flares, called my dealer yesterday and asked when the fender flares were going to be in for replacement. The service manager told me they are on back order and that Toyota engineers were working on a fix, they are having a issue with fitment of the flares on the Tacoma. It may be another 10 days or 2 months to get a part that will fit properly on the truck.
