I am going to come off like a complete newbie here but I have never owned remote reservoirs and would appreciate some insight.

I had some fox performance elite shocks put in and mounted. I didn't do the original install. Recently I had to take them off and put them back. As I was putting them on I noticed on both remote resi's (where the sharp edge of it meets the top the inner wheel well) it was worn down. Not significantly dented or anything but rounded off the sharp edge and the black paint was rubbed off. I could not care less for the aesthetic as I figured these things will take dirt/rocks. I am more so wondering if the rounded off edge is okay regarding the integrity and if the placement of the resi against the inner frame is normal for those of you folks who install these on others or have done for your own truck.

^Need a picture to be sure, but usually the resi bracket just provides a tie point for the hose clamps holding the resi, so loads are trivial. Often it's necessary to cut off portions of the bracket or drill holes in it to accommodate other mods like a steel bumper.

More likely than not, it's not an issue. But agreed, a pic would help us to say for sure that it isn't (or is).

Also, you might want to check this post see whether you have the newer-style reservoir mounts (might want to modify/replace them if you don't):

I appreciated you guys helping out.

The orange sticker resi is how the shop installed (reputable shop and have already asked them hundreds of questions so I didn’t want to keep bothering them and try asking you guys here).

Black sticker resi’s are me re-mounting them.

Final picture just shows the wear I was talking about from it being mounted the way it was.

Yeah, that little bit isn't a problem.

Great to know, I’m assuming leaving that small portion of wear alone is fine and no need to do anything to coat/cover it? I think I read these are made of aluminum and rust shouldn’t be an issue.
