I was t-boned at low speed (I was doing about 15-20 MPH as I took a turn, they creeped through a stop sign at <5 MPH and hit me). Truck runs and drives fine, damage is mostly cosmetic but the wreck did knock the alignment out and I suspect it moved the rear axle backwards on the axle a touch.



Selling as is, as it’s been 2.5 months and the body shop is being ridiculous and I’ve moved on and would prefer to get my money back rather then wait.

Carmax offered me $36k on trade in, damage is estimated at $8,188 and I’ve already been paid that out.

Offering the truck as is for $10,000 off, aka $26k.

Would need to sell soon as the shop has ordered parts and it may go into the shop within a few weeks.

 

That’s a hell of an offer from CarMax. Can I ask which one? I may take my truck there as I was offered a hell of a lot less by one up here.

 

Any need a factory tow hitch? I've got a mostly clean one I think I won't ever need. Is $50 too much?

 

It felt fair (but lower than I’d like, considering a few things, IMO) but I know the market is changing.

I have a spare you can have for free if you want to make a pair. But it has a 245 tire, so you'll have to find a matching tire or set of tires.

It was via the website. Did it to establish value before the accident. Entered the same details and added “being in 1-2 serious accidents” and it dropped to $25,600.
