Hey guys :) This will probably be my last thread here for a while, you guys have been such an awesome help lately :)

my truck came with an auto car starter, there is something unnerving about having an after market car starter idk why so I’m having it removed.

I don’t believe it is a plug and play.. is this difficult to remove? I’m not sure how they installed it -

I know it’s hard to tell by not looking at it, I’m assuming some wires were spliced along the way.

having a little anxiety about it not being an easy job.

You might get more help if you can post brand/ model/ pics to show guys how it’s installed/ wired.

Also, might consider posting your location- guys have offered help on local issues/ installs for beer money.

Based on this and your other thread, you sound anxious about trying. A properly installed remote start isn't going to cause any problems, used by millions. There is a good chance you will cause more harm than it will.
I can't imagine why you want it removed,,, even if you don't plan on using it.

I would rather have an aftermarket starter than just the original. They usually have a longer range, you can tell it how long to keep engine running and 2 way systems show you if the engine is running. I've had several aftermarket starters with alarms in the past and all were much better than the ones that are oem installed.

Tbh.. the reason why I wanted it removed was because I don’t know if it is properly installed and I don’t want it causing issues down the road. I’m assuming though, that if it wasn’t properly installed that it would already be causing issues.. which it isn’t. Maybe I will keep it.. I saw allot of wires though neatly arranged I saw cut wires into the ignition and a ground wire mounted to my steeeing wheel.

Posting some pictures of your setup would be of help for some knowledgeable people here to give more accurate advice.
That is of course if you're not too nervous about putting pictures of your vehicle on the internet but i'm sure it would be safe but then again you never know so yeah...there's that.
