Looking for around a 3" lift that will give a smoother ride than the stiff SR currently has. I don’t plan on doing much off-roading but I wouldn’t mind the ability. I’m looking to not spend much more than a couple thousand with parts+labor. So I’m really looking for value for money here. Thanks!

I would hop on that search tab in there you will have a plethora of threads to read on the topic.
But to summarize don't go over 2.5" plan on a front clamshell bushing slap on 5100's with an add a leaf.

My stock OR had a pretty supple ride and i didn’t want to sacrifice it with just any lift. I put OME BP51s on it after lots of research and determined a 10mm spring cap preload would yield a 2.5 inch lift up front, and the rear im running a 30 mm spacer with the same shock until i feel like forking over some cash for J66’s.

it currently rides softer than stock and amazing on rough trails aired down.

on the cheaper side of things i hear people have had good results with Rancho shocks

Yep that would be ideal - 2" is plenty with some 5100s and AAL and go with 265/75R16 ATs on the stock wheels - will ride better and be OK for some moderate off roading with no rubbing or alignment issues to deal with.

I chose to go with individual components that met my wants/needs rather than a kit.

    2020 SR DCSB 4WD
    Nitrocharger shocks front and back.
    OME 886 coils in front
Icon RXT leaf pack in back (option 1)
    Freedom Off- Road UCA

    Running 265/75-16 Geolander MT's.

It's a smooth daily driver and comfortable off road. I also have a fair amount of armor on my truck, so the suspension compliments the added weight.

I took a very similar approach
    2022 TRD Off Road
    Bilstein 5100 front and back
    OME 887 coils in front
Icon RXT leaf pack (option 1)
    SPC UCA

    Running 285/75R16 BFG KO2 AT

Although no steel bumper and winch yet I to have a lot of armor underneath. I did a few other things just to eliminate any concerns about rubbing with the 33s but also to have some room to go to 34 or 35 in the future if I decide to go that route which I think would necessitate a re-gear. Anyway, I had the shop do a CMC and viper cut. I will say the biggest mod that impacted drive-ability was getting an OTT tune. The truck actually drives much better (the suspension is firmer but not harsh), peppier and no gear hunting.

I did a few other things for off road:
    DuroBump bump stops front
Archive Garage U-bolt flip and bump stop back
    Exhaust re-route
Cut the exhaust just past the rear axle

I wouldn't bother with a 'lift' as much as I'd bother with adding suspension components that give you a better ride quality overall.
And +1 to not going over 2.5" of lift.

Here's my stock setup with skinny-ish 33s and no it doesn't rub/I didn't cut anything.

Next on the list for me is different coils/shocks etc as I don't care for the stock ride quality.
I think I'll give the folks at Wheel every weekend a try as far as a tuned set of Bilstein 8112's (zone control shocks).

6112s with 6 ply 33" tires (not over inflated) has been a good ride for me for a very reasonable price.
