I had a shock fail last night. I replaced the broken one.... tried replacing the other shock - things went south. Dealership does not have the bolts. can anyone point me in a direction to source new ones locally?

I'm not in AK but have been in this situation before. In case you don't get any quick replies - any halfway decent auto parts or home improvement store should carry a grade 8 bolt that is the same thickness. Wouldn't hurt to call beforehand though just to make sure. Also take the OEM bolt as a reference if you can. It doesn't have to be an exact match, but if the new setup is a little longer that shouldn't hurt anything. Just be sure to get a new nut and washer as well if the threads don't match or the old components can't be reused.

Maybe try Fasteners and fire equipment, if not them they can lead you in right direction. & I do have set of Off-Road shocks. That I might get rid of if needed.

Completely a solid option. Just ended up with a little tunnel vision over the situation.

the parts guy at the dealer did mention trying F&F..... i will call them. I have the replacement shocks on hand - wasn't expecting the "good" shock rubber bushing to have itself seized to the factory bolt. Wasn't even going to try burning out the bushing in my driveway.
