I didn’t think you had to replace them since they’re a metal screen. You just clean them. But I could be wrong

    Yeah^^^
    My 96….(2.4L auto)
Bought filter and gasket to prep for pan only fluid change
Both gasket and filter were wrong

But the actual metal screen grid was a 2mm lattice……almost as large as a metal pasta strainer
    I just brake cleaned
Got money back for both incorrect parts

As stated its just a metal screen you wash and reuse.....
is has very little catching power.....only huge particles....

Get you an inline one for $30 and swap it every 30K...

I'll never drop my pan again....just these every 30K
and just swap out the 2qts in the pan every year or so...

the rubber transmission hoses should be replaced 5 or 6 yrs....close to the same as that filter....

    001.jpg

After you clean that metal one you'll realize how ineffective it is....

I did stick 3 xtra of those super strong neo magnets in the pan bottom to keep the oem one company.....before re entombing....

I wasn't planning on returning.........at least until that kickdown cable fouls/breaks.....
