Ok, ill play. Seems I woke up one day and realized I was over 60! Crap doesn't really feel like it... most of the time anyhoo.

Interesting as I spend more time on this forum, I need to get away from some of the gen z and younger populated threads. Values have changed thats for sure. Not the WWII gen I looked up to.

Anyway on a non Debbie downer note I'm lovin' hangin with the grand kids. It's a whole new world than raising kids when I was young. In a good way, Being able to spend time with em' is quite an overall blessing. Seems almost common anymore raising grandkids in todays world, at least tempararily. Any one on this side route too?

I also enjoyed the ride up to the activity. If memory serves me right the vehicle had 3 gears in reverse.

Welcome to the thread. Lots of information you will need in 4 to 5 years.

Good morning. I have the cold my wife had earlier in the week. The irrigation company is coming out today to set up the system for the summer. It is going to be expensive because I know there are 2 sprinkler heads that need to be replaced. Baseball game tonight then down to the beach tomorrow.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
If it will make you feel better, I have to go into town later this morning to pick some stuff up and will take my bike because it's small enough to fit in the bags.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well that forecast yesterday was definitely not the "OR Not" version. Couple cells spooled up in the Hill Country, headed SE, kept getting bigger, spawned a few Tornado warnings - including us - and hail bigger than a grapefruit. We got lucky, and the radar warned storm in the pic went SE from San Marcos, down highway 80. Haven't heard yet of any airport damage - seems just SE. We were lucky with a 1/3" of big drops, minor hail and winds. Lucky is good.

    Nice day to mow, though!

    Afternoon all:

    Grapefruit size hail Kurt!

Was looking at front pages of two local papers this morning, one had a picture of a B-29 that flew into the local airport for display, the other had a picture of what looked like a steam locomotive that was in a town not too far away, both were gorgeous! Apparently the B-29 flew over our town on approach to the airport, a lady who works at the convenience store said that some people said they got pictures of it, would have been neat to see!

It was cold yesterday in DC. 45 out this morning.

Now they look tasty. Do you ever experiment with turkey breast? I like to inject them with unsalted butter, maple syrup and chipotle seasoning. I have put then in a basket weave of bacon but it is not my favorite way to smoke them. I also tale the thin end and tuck it under to make the breast a uniform thickness.

Good morning. Headed over to the beach at 7am today. Not much planned but a Mother's Day brunch tomorrow.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Have the son coming over for early Mothers Day - duel grilling some lobster tails and small filets. We'll go for a Mimosa brunch tomorrow. Alternating days of rain threats for now. At least the humidity came down!
