I am about to install a kicker key 200.4 in my Tacoma. I have seen people install them in the glove box, behind the glove box, under the seat etc... Has anyone installed one behind their radio? Is there enough room? Pictures of install locations would be helpful if possible.

That's where mine is. Not the best pic of the space.

Is it mounted in there or loose?

Loose but kind of held in place by the wires and stuff so it can’t bounce around.

Mine is under the passenger seat. I do have seat jackers on the passenger seat too.

Mine is mounted under the OEM radio also, though I mounted it, I made 2 L brackets, and used the existing bolts to the cross tube behind there, the brackets go down then out, and screwed the amp to these with blunt screws (concern for a wire rubbing on a sharp one). this mounted the amp low enough that the left side is tight to some wiring connector, but I mounted the right side a bit rearward (skewed) because that side has the amp adjustments, and with the glove box removed, I can reach in and make adjustments, or connect the calibrating input, while it is mounted. I do not really love the execution, because only an open end wrench will access the two bolts, now behind the amp; but this is the best I could come up with, and it is secured. How often should i be removing this anyway.

I had considered mounting it to the radio itself, under the radio. the radio is only about half as tall in the dash as at its face, this may be because I do not have navi? this would be a great place, with a little fuss getting the amp connectors into the opening of the dash, but making brackets here seems more difficult.

Sorry, seems I did not take a single picture.
