    just dont hit anything underneath and you're good. people drill right there for regular toolboxes all the time.

    I would also put some sort of heavy rubber mat under it. Cut down on any noise or possible wear of the bed .

    I have the rubber Toyota mat in the whole bed already, so I should be good.
