I installed rock lights under my doors and want to wire them into the cargo light switch controlling the bed lights.

I once saw a thread with pictures on how to wire it but can't find the thread now.

The three wires are from the rock lights harness on/off switch that I've run through the firewall. How do I integrate this into the cargo light switch?

I want the rock lights to come on when unlocking the door and off when closing. Also being able to leave on or off with the cargo switch. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You'll need to modify the coil relay pins wire connection.
You only need to tap the blue wire on the cargo switch connector.
So only one wire to the cab from the relay.
On the relay you need to jump the fused input to pin 30 (+) with pin 86 (+).Use smaller wire.
on the relay pin 85 one wire to blue wire in the cab.
Added relay will be in parallel with cargo relay switch.

P.S. The relay may have up to 3 connections on pin 85 (ground) they need to be removed from the pin. Only one small gauge wire to cab to blue wire. The wires are: ground of relay coil (now used for cab tap), ground for added lamps to battery ground (need to keep them but not attached to the relay).

I thought I had seen someone make a customer harness for what you're trying to do. I'd like to do the same when I install rock lights myself.
