Has anyone been to this trail recently?

    @AMMO461

That’s my next destination being highway 198/180 in the Southern Sequoia are closed at the moment due to snow.

This looks like some great wheeling. Anyone want to GTG for a day of wheeling MK10 before the crazy heat rolls in?

I’m shocked to hear that, but I’m not surprised the same.

Did some searching and this trail that leads to MK15,16 look like A LOT OF FUN. There has to be some snow left up there, so it should make for a fun trip.

Only other small reference was on FB.

I knew it was not Tejon country because they would not lite up the mountain range with so many trails.

Already thinking about the threads title, lol

Chapter 1: I Went Looking for Martin L. King on Cloud 10

What a rush is all I’m going to say for the thrills part. If you or your spouse is afraid of heights, pass on this one.

Whomever has attempted MK10 during a rainy day or snow has titanium balls. (You too ladies, but I didn’t want to say titanium brea…I don’t like them hard!)

The trail has a bit of roll to it towards the edge. I assume so the rains don’t destroy it. But fuck, talk about a high on top of a high on top of another higher high!!!!! No room for error, or slippage. The bottom part of the trail was on ALSD, then near the top, my angel side put on 4WD. Adrenaline supreme.

Tried a short cut, but got sheep blocked(flocked:0).

Respect and pay attention as far up and down the trail as possible. It’s hard to see the roll that the trail has. Ass pucker at times, lol.

Picture of Fusion once I got to the top.

The area is very nice and secluded. PCT trail strikes once again. And so does Tejon country that butts up against BLM.

1st picture looking out towards Jawbone.

8th picture, DO NOT LOOK LEFT IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF HEIGHTS.

Damn it felt good to be on solid ground. Absolutely worth going back up to explore the other trails, though. I took a chance taking no supplies. Won’t do that next time! Handkook AT’s yet again surprised me.

MK10, 28 total miles from the Mobile station in Mojave and back to. Nice trail for a one day trip.:hattip:

We took MK10 all the way to the termination of MK15. You can look across the canyon and see MK13 and what resembles a "trail" that looks like it would traverse the canyon wall and floor but I think it was made by an alien life form. There is NO WAY or Tacoma or FJ's could get down from the end of MK15 without rolling off the canyon wall.
Did you look WAYYY down on the left side drop off and see the gold colored Jeep that went over the edge years back? Its slowly getting covered up be mud slide debris, only the front end was visible last time we were up it.

That place is no fucking joke. I couldn’t see going up there while it’s raining. One slide on the parts of the trail that are tight, with a turn, and slanted…things are looking fucking dire.

I can’t recall where I stopped on 15. I should be able to tell with Fusion as I chose latitude/longitude. But what I wanted to see was the yellow wall of flowers that can be seen from Mojave.

I could sniff Tejon country :0)
