I parked my 2018 Tacoma in the driveway and it started chirping three times from the front of the truck. I tried using both fobs to open the doors or stop the noise and it wouldn't. Finally. the noise stopped, but I can't open the doors. Any ideas? Thank you

I would change battery in fob if it happened to me.

Does yours have a mechanical key to gain entry?

Yeah, I changed the batteries in the fobs last week. Yes, I have a mechanical key and was able to check the battery in the truck. It's dead. Odd. Only a year old, I'm charging it now and will take it in, in the morning.

    Thanks for the information.

If it’s possible the new battery has a bad cell in it.

Gotcha. I'm charging it tonight and will take it in to check the alternator in the morning. You know, $300

I paid extra for the lifetime battery at the dealership I use just in case that might happen to my battery. They told me no questions asked free replacement as long as so own the truck .
