So today is a maintenance day if you can't tell by my other thread. I'm replacing my sway bar end links, and the ones that came off the truck are about 2 inches longer than the ones I bought (these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0096O958Y based on several old threads I've seen here). Did I get the wrong ones? Does my truck have a lift the previous owner didn't tell me about? I'm pretty confused right now, the new ones don't even reach the sway bar. Is this just a matter of twisting the sway bar so it sits closer to the LCAs?

    Edit: forgot to post pics

It should plop right down on it, you need to do both sides at the same time.

There won't be any issues with the shorter end links?

They appear to be correct, the comments all say 4x4 3.4 taco.

Any idea why the previous owner might have installed the extended ones? Is there a way I can check for a lift I didn't know about? I'd rather not find myself in a ditch 2,000 miles down the road of something goes wrong.

Extended end links push the sway bar towards the ground and it acts like a sway bar disconnect, but without actually disconnecting it.

I had one break on the road, besides it getting bound up when turning, it drove fine until I replaced it that day. meaning, it breaking on you wont throw you in a ditch, at least not my experience. :cheers
