Wife found a different hummingbird feeder. It has slits, too small for ants to invade it. Worth a try... IDK if a bird will stick out its tongue, like a hummingbird, to try it. Pretty sure they will figure it out.
Not 100% satisfied with the guy we hired to cut grass. He's fast but leaves more than a few small strips uncut. Wife doesn't care... I do. There's too much "it's good enough" attitude these days. New mower battery is still in the box. I'll install it today, start doing it myself again... or not. Wife says I don't have any faith in people. I said it took me 77 years to fully develop this attribute.
Got an estimate to clean up a couple trees that are now too close to roof, and second story windows. Insurance company wanted pics of the house for renewal, doesn't like overhangs. I've always done this stuff, but now find myself wary of high-altitude tree work. Wife says smart move. YEOWW, $995! I remember when that was big money. Good thing we saved a little.

Good Morning Everyone Have a Great Day.

Yesterday I replaced the frame on the back door of the garage. The old one rotted out after 30 years, door was still good. I had kept 3 extra frames when I bought the doors when I moved in 33 yrs ago. One over the companies I worked at had that line of doors discontinued so I kept some extra jambs for them in components not set up.just for this occasion. Or if the wind took the front storm door and ripped out that jamb because it didn't get closed. Sometimes I hate this house but it's paid off. It's a pain in the ass living in an area built on clay and former swamp land. Everyone in the neighborhood has foundation issues in some form. The garage has a few settling issues that causede too put the brick mold on after setting the frame. So I could follow the j trim.

    Morning all:

:annoyed:, Yesterday I knelt down and when I went to get up I heard a loud sound like a stick breaking and felt a slight pain on the back of my leg in the joint behind the knee, nothing serious and only hurts a bit when I walk but limping around now.

Great looking pup Mark! Congrats on a new lifetime friend........ Now you need a "guide" to teach her the ropes. We had a ranch dog, part Lab part Border Collie - and she took charge of house training the new pup(s). Emmy could house-train a pup in about a week, two at most....She also frowned on barking - except at unruly livestock. Our vet suggested that it would be a great public service if people could could rent Emmy Lou for an interval........ Others have told me of seeing such behavior in their female critters - but never an Uncle.

Well apparently the weathermen don’t have a clue today, so we will deal with what ever comes.
I’m sure it’s going to be a day how ever it turns out! LOL!
Off to the city’s limb recycling! Have a great day everyone!

I just found this thread for Tacoma owners over 60. I guess I fit the criteria, I'm 68 and bought my 2016 Limited 3/22/24. And if having a dog is an unoffical expectation, I've got a Goldendoodle named Max.

Welcome to the porch. Having a Taco and a dog definitely checks the right boxes. Based on your name Sturgfish can I assume you are a sturgeon fisherman? Where do you fish?
