I switch between American, German, and Japanese cars.

The Japanese have always prided themselves by having knobs that you can look at and immediately know what they are for.

I feel like this is some type of 4WD selector with a central pushbutton for differential engagement or terrain select or something.

Does that large volume button also come with the smaller screen? Thought it was only for the larger screen.

That's a good question, but this is a hump day thread, and that requires to much time and effort to figure out...

What about the steering wheel? Volume buttons going left and right or up and down?

The previous F-series had a good sized knob for audio and HVAC. Those knobs have since been downsized.

Some of those knobs are huge. What, does Toyota think we all have hands the size of Andre the Giant?

yes it is happening, but 99% i think its the user. i've had our 2023 tundra for almost 16 months and have no issues. and they worked just fine during our -20F cold snaps w/o breaking.

smaller wheel diameter probably means they didnt have the space to keep the buttons to 1 side, unlike the tundra which has a bigger diameter wheel and the audio buttons are on 1 side vs split

My concern is the little gas tank. Toyota has got to come up with something more reasonable than an 18 gallon tank. There are a number of areas out west where you can't get out and back towing even a small trailer without carrying additional gas.

Same here. This is my biggest gripe about the truck. My previous RAM Limited had a 33g tank which gave me excellent range.

...and my big volume knob was broken before I actually bought the truck. It stays attached barely. Still waiting on the replacement.

Well yesterday I called the dealer to let them know that I needed a replacement. I told them I needed to make an appt. to get my knob replaced. They wanted me to come in and then the tech would take care of it. I said that's fine I just need to be sure you have the part in stock. She then told me she cant order the knob unless the tech tells them I Need a new one. I said wait I need to make an appointment and bring in my truck and wait for a tech to say "Yup its broke we will order you a new one" and we will call you when it comes in". Then come back for the replacement. ?? She's like yes that's how it works. I asked how much the knob job was LOL and she said $11.00 I said great order me 2 of them, let me know when they are in and ill just pay for them in cash... Stupid dealerships have no clue about customer service...
