Hey guys! I have a 2000 tacoma 3.4 that was originally a pre runner auto. I swapped a manual in it and just changed the 2 wires at the transmission plug to fool it into park all the time. Now it’s swapped to a340f after black box 205 install. Changed wiring back and now when you put it in 3rd gear the engine cranks…any ideas? Truck also now has winters shifter.

Are you sure you don't have the N and 3 wires swapped on the Transmission Range switch?

Are you talking about in the plug? I only removed 2 wires originally and wired them together to fool it into park.

Either that or the switch isn't adjusted properly.

Maybe I didn’t word it right. The truck does not crank with key but if you put the shifter in 3rd it will crank. If I remove pin 5&6 and jump them together it will start but thinks it’s in park.

I think you need to check your adjustment on your Transmission Range Switch, if that's good then the switch must be bad if you have your pins correct.
