I was just doing some 5k maintenance and I put way too much grease in one of the upper control arm ball joints. No grease would come out as I thought it would and it seems to be sealed tight completely. I really don’t want to take the ball joint off, some people online have said it’s no big deal it’ll eventually just go down. I did drive around town a little bit and all seems fine it didn’t burst or crack or anything. Any suggestions on what to do or should I just leave it be? IMG_5378.jpg

I made this mistake once too. I drove it around, the grease spilled out and made a huge mess, I cleaned it up, and all seems good.

When you are pumping grease into it while the truck is sitting on the ground, it can be difficult to see any change in the boot size. Now I just give it 5 pumps and call it a day.

I took a drive this morning, exactly as you described. Grease spilled out, and I cleaned it all up. I learned my lesson: those ball joints don't need a lot of grease!
    Thanks, man!
