    Hey all,

looking at buying new tires/rims for the taco. This set for sale is a 235/75/15 which is our ideal stock height tire. And the rims are 5x114.3. Off of a ranger. Would I have any issues fitting these (offset etc.). If so, is there a way I can check before I buy them. Currently I’m running these 225/55/18s with these silly aftermarket rims and pirelli tires.
    Cheers

You can use use sites like to compare how they will fit with the stock setup, 215/70R15 +34 with a width of 6", but you will need to know the width and offset of the pictured wheels to do so. Also pay attention the hub opening, as long as it's larger than 60.1mm you'll be fine. I suspect they will fit aside from being taller overall. You'll gain 1" of height but lose 1" of wheel well clearance, and your speedo will be off by about 7%. Nothing too drastic.

Got a lot of stuff lol
I would just be cautious as jeep stuff is usually positive offset and we want negative offset for Toyotas. Could always ask to try a tire on. some people are chill about that.

Thanks for all this info, I will definitely be doing my research to make sure the rims fit. I’ll be measuring twice

This is probably going to be a silly question but I’m new to fitting wheels on these trucks. So the rims I’m looking at are from a ranger, which in my research is showing them as a 1/2x20 thread pitch for the studs where as our trucks is a m12x1.5. Is there anyway to confirm this and make it work, or should I ditch this idea all together?

Lug pattern (5 x 4.5) not pitch is one of the factors along with backspacing (4") and offset (0 to -13mm ish)

Fair enough, so the minor difference in thread pitch doesn't matter. Bolt pattern should be the exact same. The seller is allowing me to try one on first before I buy, so I do have that option. I want to be sure before I make the drive out tomorrow. So really, I'm just going to need to focus on the offset? Stock rangers say 10-14mm while our Tacomas say 32-36mm.
