Those step drill bits from HF are surprisingly awesome. Actually, come to think of it, all the drills I've bought from there have been quite good.

Speaking of step bits, had the HF ones for years and they wouldn’t go through 3/16-1/4 cold rolled or eventually hot rolled anymore and I wanted to get something better. I watched this video and bought the generic equivalent to the name brand that won / placed highly in the test and I’m very happy so far. HF ones are ok for light applications and may be ok for a lot of people - if you’re ever having trouble with them like I had on thicker material these may be an alternative.

I've installed over 30 ECGS bushings. It's an upgrade I know very well!

Took care of a common coolant leak on this 2TR 2.7L Tacoma. Coolant crossover pipe was leaking. Also replaced water pump, thermostat and hoses. Went smooth, and was a fun project!

Did they upgrade to the metal bypass pipe? The plastic one gets brittle and cracks and leaks, the sensor is on top so it wouldn’t read it overheating on the dash

Only metal replacements are available now - oem or aftermarket.

Exactly - my 08 fell in that category with the plastic one and I was pleasantly surprised to see even parts store replacements are all now metal and Toyota replaced the part number for the pre ‘12 models with the updated design.

Dave helped me with my 4Runner today, over the years I’ve had various rigs and used various shops and myself and other forum members work on my rig including 88 rotors, and the truck shop (highly do not recommend truck shop whatsoever) anyway Dave is more meticulous and detail oriented than any of them including myself hence why I keep going back to him

That’s amazing to hear and I’ve heard nothing but great things about him. That’s exactly why I’m taking my truck to him when I get off this island soon! Can’t wait!

Dave came to our place Sunday and did the timing belt / WP and associated bits on my wifes Acura MDX. It's a job that requires precision and as usual he did that. If you want it done right the first time Dave is the guy. Thanks Again bud.
