So I recently got into an accident (It was my fault) I backed up into my brothers truck and busted the passenger side taillight. No bulbs or anything broke just the housing and the house got pushed in a few inches. When I turned the truck on I saw my headlight come on but my cluster lights did not turn on. My first thought was to try the dimming switch but that was not the issue. Then I was informed that my taillights weren’t on until I hit the breaks or used a blinker. I have checked the fuses and they are all fine. Any suggestions?

Well no one really replied but if someone does come across this themselves with the same issue. My solution was the 10A fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay I replaced it and all was new again. Good luck!

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Just what caused the fuse to open did you ever find anything??

I would pull that taillight out and check the wiring harness behind it. It's possible that a wire grounded against metal and caused the fuse to pop. If so, it would be good to find that and fix it since that might happen again even if you don't back in to anything else.

I really didn’t look into it much. Which now that you mention it I should get back out there and find out so it won’t happen again. My main concern was just getting them working again
