Having a few issues and have a few questions.
    1. What are the threaded holes that the deck rails attach to called? I know there are a lot of issues with these and people generally blame the bolts but does anyone know if the holes can be stripped and if that could be the issue and how to fix?
    2. What is the size of the deck rail bolts to get replacements?
    3. Does anyone else have trouble extracting AND inserting these bolts? I hate to force it but it feels like they won’t go in or come out even though they came from Toyota! I have stripped multiple bolt heads and threads.

I recently replaced mine with SS and a dolop of anti seize

A couple were pretty tough to remove, even with the correct torx. Mine is a 13, so a bit of aging and corrison.

No problems with installing. Make sure you have the right threads on your new ones

You should get a tap and chase the threads in the bed, zooming in on that second picture it looks stripped. The stainless bolts are a great idea, at the minimum you need never seize.
