I’m needing some help. I hit a major pothole in January that was underwater. The pothole was almost a foot deep. As soon as I hit it my Brake, ABS, traction cruise control lights all came on.

I hit the hole with my passenger front wheel. Long story short, I’ve replaced the sensor and ABS harness up there but that did y fix the issue. I got a code reader and got code 1408 and sometimes 1416. Both saying it’s the LH rear speed sensor circuit output or a broken circuit.

Since that I’ve replaced the speed sensor and the rear ABS harness but still have the issue. I’ve taken it to 2 dealerships to get told the same thing my code reader already tells me. Or the don’t know what the issue is.

Can anyone give me some pointers or help? I’m seriously losing my mind with this.

Not 100% sure but I believe a wheel bearing’s abs tone ring could be damaged.

Wow, So 2 dealerships and neither one could help?
They either don't want to spend the time looking for the issue, or they need better techs.

What year is the truck. I can do some digging. Maybe "we" (TW) can help "you" fix it.

    Few question.

    1. Does your scanner have the ability monitor each wheel speed individually?
If so, does the Rear Left match the same speed as the other wheels?

    2. Do you own a voltage meter, and can you use it?
Simple stuff here. Voltage and Ohms is about all you need.

Let's start with the simple stuff first.

    Unplug the Left Rear sensor.
Check pin 2 for 11v+ (battery voltage)
