    Howdy folks.

Just joined. In the SF Bay Area (East Bay).

2021 TRD OR w/ Harker EDC Camper.
    20240412_163518.jpg

Currently trying to learn enough to buy the right suspension upgrades to support the added weight of the camper. Feels like I need to plan out a whole overland rig to figure the right weights. The camper and amenities are around 400lbs, and I imagine with just rock sliders that will put me near 600lbs constant load, so it feels like I need to go stage II deavers at least, before even considering bumpers/cargo.

Any tips on how to pair shocks and springs would be appreciated.

Check max wgt in your door jamb

Regardless of suspension changes, that number stays the same as things like driveline and brakes factor in too.

Balloon too much over and it's not good......

Pretty impressive. Can I see some pics of it with the tent collapsed at different angles?

Oh... I like that a lot... Harker, now I've got something to research. I'll probably like it less until I see the price tag.

Take a look at a set of Firestone RideRite airbags. Adjustable in pressure and it will buy you time before you decide if you need leaf springs to take all the weight and if you load it consistently.

I have the Dobinson’s 112 leaf pack and with the truck empty (fridge, mantrax, bedrug, 300lb camper it has about a 5” lift over stock. But when loaded down with swing out, bike rack with mountain bikes, propane, firewood, full fridge, gear, etc, it rides level.
