My son started up his FJ this morning and has a Christmas tree going on. The following lights are on.

E-Brake, traction control, VSC OFF, VSC TRAC.

We were off roading about 3 weeks ago, but everything was normal driving home. Any thoughts?

I don't know if this applies anymore, but for Toyotas it was a sign the alternator was on its way out.

Have the truck scanned for codes. Sounds like an ABS issue.

It has a ScanGauge on it, and it is showing no codes. But I will take it down to verify.

I am not sure; this is the first I have heard of this. Guess I need to do some digging.

AFAIK, ScanGauge doesn't read ABS codes. Just the standard P codes (engine codes)

So I went down last night and tried getting the codes pulled but all they had was a check engine code machine. I did have them check the alternator while I was there and it came back good.

Who can pull ABS codes? I tried pulling the battery cable but the lights did not go away. Not sure what to check next.

A shop with a capable scanner. Most likely they'll want some time for troubleshooting and a diagnostic fee

Avoid any place that offers to do it for free

Ok. My manual(s) don't show a 94 code for the FJ.
    BUT.....Google says 94 on a Toyota is the same as a C1241.
Are we on a wild goose chase? Maybe, but we have to start some where.
And I feel kind of confident that the c1241 is the same as 94. (generic)

What year is the FJ. Just to be sure where check the right wires and fuses.

    1. Check the ECU-IG and the IGN fuses.
    2. Check Ground points of Skid Control ECU.

So got busy and distracted. I went and bought a scanner that does ABS. Here are the code it pulled.
C1202 - Brake fluid low/Open - Check the fluid level and it is good.
C1223 - ABC control system malfunction.
U0073 - Control module communication BAS off.
    U0100 - Lost communication with ECM/PCM A.
U0126 - Lost communication with streeting angle sensor module.

Looks like there is quite a bit of work ahead of me.
