Currently running an Icon leaf pack that gives me about 2" lift with 5100 shocks. The rear is too stiff for my liking. Are there any other shock options that will give me a smoother ride?

Are you sure it's not the leaf springs that are too heavy duty for the weight in the rear of your truck? That could be the issue.

Doubt it, there are only 3 leaf springs and no overload leaf installed.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
You can order a custom leaf pack from Alcan with a similar to OEM payload capacity and whatever amount of lift you want.

As a side note, I didn't know ICON made a 3 leaf pack for the 2nd gen Tacoma. The only ICON 3 leaf pack I know if is an AAL pack.

Got pictures of said leaf springs? Sure it’s not an icon 3 leaf aal?
if your rear is truly lifted 2” you are exceeding the recommended limit for the rear 5100’s. You need an extended travel rear shock setup.

Someone else can recommend something that may feel smooth to them. I’d recommend being more specific as to why you lifted the truck in the first place, it’s intended usage and when and why exactly it feels too harsh to get the best feedback.

FYI the rear shocks aren’t going to make your truck ride like a board. As someone else already tried to hint to, your lifted leaf springs are the main contributor to your harsh ride.

When I went from Option 2 to Option 1 on my Icon RXT's, it made a world of difference in ride. Much less stiff. I equated Option 2 to my stock Tacoma suspension with an AAL.

As far as I'm aware, the only leaf pack Icon makes is the RXT's. It doesn't sound like you're using this. How is the rear being lifted? Pictures would be helpful.

I installed brand new oem 3+1 leaf springs and eibach shocks (incl. a 1” spacer lift). Way too stiff and harsh for my mostly city driving. Went to kyb gas adjust and was a bit better, but not much. Went to stock kyb’s and pretty happy, but ultimately not fully satisfied until i put 4 bags of sand in the bed. Now very happy with the ride. Yes, i am sure these twin tube shocks are wholly unsuitable for washboard roads, etc. but they work great for typical city roads.

looking to sell the other shocks if any one is in the market

Put a few pavers in the back to weight it down... :))
