@BkerChuck Thank you for the pics. Really liked the Vincent, Moto Guzzi, Ducks, and the BMW R90S. My first bike was a Kawa 175 then a Kawa 500 and finally a KZ900.

Good morning. One last scan this morning for the cardiologist. I have an appointment on Friday to go over the scan results. Taking the wife out to lunch after the scan.

    Best of luck!

Pretty exciting morning because my yard finally got a little shower. Haven’t had rain in several weeks now. Sprinkler guy is coming Friday to replace my sprinkler controller with a new one connected to my phone. Hopefully it lasts 24 years like the last one. Not likely I’ll see that! LOL!

Have a wonderful day everyone! Stay safe!

    Afternoon all:

And the project for the day!
Deck started making a screeching noise, thought a spindle bearing might be going bad, oh well, was time to check it out anyway!
Removed the deck and found a loose blade that was making the noise, greased the spindles since they are now easy to get at, and removed the deck covers and found the usual accumulation of fine debris, cleaned that all out and hopefully good to go for a while.
Actually this deck is in way better shape than most, if that debris in there gets wet it will destroy the deck in no time, amazing how that much debris can find its way through the few small openings that are in the covers.

 Phase I can be summed up with "DAYUM!". Ride Height adjustment is astounding on day one.

Fancy shop (4 bays now!), and owners toy that used to look like mine (in blue).

    20240521_092851.jpg

Goal is to raise the spring retainers 0.75" on driver, and 0.5" on passenger - per the guy at AccuTune who has been VERY helpful, and not tried to sell me a thing in getting this sorted out. Brandin at the shop knows them well, as is now an authorized seller for them - they also just introduced a new series of shocks (seem perfect for me) and NOT ONCE did the guy even mention it as the solution. Anyway, you have to take shocks with a "split collar" off to adjust, or risk damaging threads. Still, all was done in an hour.

And back on the ground, with a little settling after driving home. Not measured, but you can see a bit of body lift gone. Rubbing is no worse (which is only on one corner in my driving life)

Phase II will be shrink the tires and wheels back down to 16" from 17". I'm just stupid - don't ask - it's a long story.
Phase III would be replacing the Kings if I need to, and I know where I will go.

Good morning. The test yesterday was pretty simple and quick. did not have to take a drug to slow down my heart so I saved 40 minutes off the time in the office. Lunch was great at a waterfront restaurant that had been there since as long as I can remember. I went there with my parents when I was around 5 YO. Still great food. Happy Harbor Restaurant in Deale MD.

Yikes! A frost this morning then 74 later! No warning of the frost, so I hope it doesn’t damage my tomatoes. Oh well, I’ll just plant some more.
Kettlebell day, then maybe mow or at least get outside to soak in some vitamin D.
Make this a grand day and enjoy the little pleasures!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Would you really have to go back to 16" wheels instead of just a different size in 17"? Or do you think you'll have better luck selling the wheels and tires as a package?

I went 17 by accident, and "saving money". They are really too much for the PreRunner, and I off road ZERO. So, just enough to fill the wells proportionally, I'll be good I think. Make it easier on suspension too.
    17 Geo's , 1000 miles, unblemished wheels with TPMS, for around $1,000.

When I was a teenager...i wanted a bike soooo bad. Best that i didnt get one though. Surely wouldn't be posting about tacomas at the age of 61.
Two bikes I wanted... one of those beautiful Yamaha. YZ 125 ( think that was the model, it was an enduro).
The other was a KZ 900 or KZ1000 with Kerker header. A friend had one and it sounded soooo sweet.
Hope all was well with your doc visits.

Good morning all! Headed to the farm for the weekend. Getting more interior work done. I think we will be spending our FIRST NIGHT in the home. Wow! That journey began in March of 2022.
Land guy will be there doing some more forestry mulching and I will be sorting the shed out. Need to find some room in there for more tools.
Looking forward to a great weekend ahead and a peaceful Memorial Day. :oldglory:
