We went through 3 new washing machines in 6 days, our original washing machine was 31 years old.

I have a 24 and removed the lip. I’m averaging about the same as with the lip. Combined I get 22.4, my old taco at best got 18hwy. On the highway I have hit 27.9mpg for the trip in the 24.

Heh tbh I'd love to see a Stout based on the Rav4 Prime drivetrain. Maybe with some extra features like a 'camp/genset' mode, a decent inverter that'll push out a couple of kW from the HV battery...

I've been in the building industry for ~11 years now. The current product quality sucks, I swear the first folks cut were QI during Covid. The supply is back, lead-times are good, but quality is WAY down. I am holding off on windows, appliances, etc. for my personal house. I would not build a house today, too expensive and poor quality (I am submersed in it daily)

We bought a no-frills Whirlpool. We recently bought a new dishwasher (our old one was 30+ years); we bought if from a family owned business, the guy that owns the business said everything he stocks (Whirlpool, Amana, Maytag...even Kitchen Aid) are all made by the same company at the same place (I think they're made in KY). He also said that Kitchen Aid is the exact same as all the others plus some extra buttons. :notsure:

Makes sense because Whirlpool owns Kitchen Aid, Amana, and Maytag.

I bought 6 3rd Gen Tacomas from 2016-2023 . One was made during Covid and my last 2 were made after. I’ve not noticed any difference in quality of all 6. The only problem I’ve ever had was 2 of my batteries failed during the first year. Obviously defective batteries from the supplier.

I get a discount since I work at the Toyota plant in Cambridge and with the high resale value the numbers worked great. I leased and my payments remained low. I even received cash back on 2 of the trade ins due to the fact that one year old Tacomas were going for more than new during Covid when wait times were 6 months to a year.
