Hey everyone I’m considering doing the FJ transfer case swap. However I’m worried about the ADD delete effecting driving performance. Sharp turn binding, excessive wear, etc. (don’t care about mpg). So I was thinking, theoretically you could hook up a cable to the ADD fork and shift the collar manually bypassing all the electronics. Has anyone ever done a mod like that? I might mess around and do it myself and will post here my discoveries. Also side note which exact FJ transfer case should I get? Are they all the same? I have a V6 auto. Any advice appreciated.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
I have a non add front diff out of the gx470/mt fjc/4g4r-v8 and have zero bind and zero issues. Another thing to notice is that my 2g was a Prerunner

You won’t have bind issues when you’re running in 2WD. Unless I guess you have a front locker that you forget to disengage I guess
