I had absolutely no business owning my first bike, the Kawasaki GPZ-750 that I had. I traded a coworker straight up my 1974 Dodge Challenger for it. That bike had a Wiseco 900cc kit, smoothbore carbs, and a Yoshimura 4 into 1 header on it and was far too much bike for my limited experience. Looking back it was a blessing that it developed electrical issues and I lacked the knowledge and experience to deal with them. I traded it down for a brand new 1985 Honda VF500F Interceptor which was a much better bike for me to get some experience on. Still quick enough to have fun but smaller and lighter with less torque to get into trouble with. I put 8k miles on that little Honda in the first year then started moving up in size and performance.

Good morning. Off to the gym, then to the grocery store. Back home for a chair yoga class then a quick lunch. The afternoon will be at an old friend's home to reset her PC. She opened a link in a spam email. Tomorrow is the 8th anniversary of her husband's death. I have known her since high school.

Good morning all! My last day of work for the holiday weekend. Heading out on an Iron Butt ride early Friday morning with a friend of mine. We're trying our luck at a "Ride Around PA" saddlesore hoping to cover roughly 1100 miles in under 24 hours traveling the perimeter of the state. In case anyone would like to follow along:

    https://spotwalla.com/trip/7e68-1e1f0b8c-5697/view

That link will go live around 01:00 Friday morning and run for about 28 hours or so. You'll be able to see where we are but the tracker will always be just a few minutes behind us.

Thats what I liked about my Kawa 500 triple. The oil injector was a big plus. Lots of fun on that bike.

Yea, I'm over 60. Got a Tacoma mostly for the Manual, was considering a Bronco but drove a Tacoma and really liked it. Also swayed by Toyota reputation and versatility of the PU. Liking it so far. Plan to us to use to tow a 20' travel trailer.

Another beautiful day to start out, then 30 mph wind. That will be the time to come inside!
Spent most of the day yesterday in the yard, so today I’ll be fine mostly inside, after watering everything before the wind blows.
Here’s wishing everyone a beautiful fulfilling day! Stay healthy!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! And welcome @Tito5 ! No storms for us overnight, so no rain. Staying North. I swear if you look at radar sideways, you'll piss it off, and get a Tornado Warning! Prolly going to mow. It will be hot enough!

Had a tough time doing it, but still convinced the R-2800 to give up some shields, and show more cylinder. Inch by inch.

Welcome to the thread. What trailer do you have?

I did not think you were such a dirty girl. ;) Hope you accomplished your project.

Good morning. Welcome to Friday, the start of a 4-day weekend for most of us. Burgers on one of the grills tonight. Have not decided which grill gets the call to duty yet. Going to make some coleslaw too!

In my case, chicken loses the moisture so quickly when cut, even after resting for 10 to 15 minutes so I typically do not take a cut picture. Also, when I cut a chicken, it is usually going onto the plate for dinner. and there are time constraints that make it harder to take a pic. Other larger beef cuts and pork ribs lend itself to a juicy pic when cutting after a 10-to-15-minute rest. Beef and pork absorb most juice back into the meat fibers so it easier to take the juicy pic. This is just my opinion. Most of the time when I cut into a smoked meat my wife is building the dinner plates for the three of us and my hands are gloved which make it harder to take a pic.
