New Tacoma owner/mog

Got a 2023 Tacoma off road 2023 about a month ago. First couple weeks I was getting about 19mpg and then it dropped to 16. I’m think maybe the previous owner was using premium gas rather than regular?

Using premium gas won't give a 3 mpg gain in fuel economy. Are you sure you're not just pressing the skinny pedal more than before?

 

Well I do live in LA and it’s everyday stop n go traffic on highway and streets. Perhaps that’s why?

 

Well maybe. But that's not what caused the change

 

What part of LA?

I have Family in Alhambra & Inland Empire.

And stop-n-go is an understatement in that metropolis...lol

 

I live in the Downey area, yeah traffic is hectic out here.

 

My late Uncle Artie lived in Downey.

I grew up in El Sereno and went to Wilson HS on Multnomah. (The Hill)

 

I’m assuming you left California?

 

Yes!

I left on March 31, 1986 to join the USAF and Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX starting April 1st.

After 25 years of service, I ended up retiring from active duty on the opposite coast in 2011.

Delaware has been my home since 2006.
