New here! First time owning a new car, glad to be in the Taco community!

Got my 2024 TRD Sport three weeks ago, here are first impressions with the caveat this is my first truck:
    • Pros:
      • Drives great, handling is sharp and acceleration is responsive. The turbo adds an unexpected zippiness.
      • Good MPG, sitting at 22.6 AVG overall when commuting.
      • Short bed is actually ideal, easily hauls 8'x4' sheet goods and lumber while fitting still in my "2 car" garage. Textured lining is high quality.
      • Looks great, researching mod options (suggestions appreciated!).
      • Great engine accessibility, smart layout under the hood.
      • Comfortable cabin.
    • Cons:
      • Don't like the color strip across the dash/front door interiors. Not sure why mine is blue when all the accents (interior and exterior) are grey or black.
      • Air dam under the front bumper looks goofy. Planning to remove it and and see if it makes a real difference in MPG.
      • Cramped backseat but that's what I signed up for.Taco.jpg[IMG]

Welcome dude! That color strip looks easily wrap-able by your local shop. Congrats on the purchase!

I drove a TRD Sport today and am looking at buying. During my test drive when I accelerated onto the freeway tons of smoke was pouring out of the tailpipe. Salesman gave me a BS answer, it new only has 15 miles on it. Have you noticed anything like on you new TRD?

    Thanks

Haven’t seen that on my truck. I’m not knowledgeable enough to know what may cause it to blow smoke but I would be taking it in for service.

Haven’t come across that problem in any other 4th gen forum either, even the drag racers getting 13 MPG.
