Hey everyone. I have a 1995 Tacoma with the 3rz that needs a head gasket done. I have also found a parts truck with a 3rz with similar kms for a fair price. What would be easier, to pull the head on my engine or just pull the whole thing and swap it for the other engine. Thanks!

Head gasket is cheaper. I'd assume the labor is similar or the head gasket would be easier. I've done a motor swap, never a head gasket. But that's my 2 cents.

Have you ever done either on any marquee?

Are you confident the donor motor has good head gaskets? Can you hear it run?

Do you have space, tools, time?
