    oh price reduction?
Definitely in the $30-$40K range. I don't feel like any mid sized truck is worth more than that, to me at least.

I paid 31k for my 2016 TRD sport. I’ve had over 6k in bs repairs to deal with… AC x2, leaking rear coolant pipe, etc. I won’t buy another and certainly not for 40-50k.

I have seen 9K off MSRP on 2024 Tundras at my dealer. $17,500 off the Electric BZ4X. I don’t really know how much of a discount would get me interested in a 4th Gen Tacoma. All I can say is I have lots of patience.

Free. Most definitely if it were free. With a camper shell. In red.

    Mid-30's or less.
But realistically, I'm headed to the full-size market on my next truck.
So, I don't really care what price is on it.

Nothing could convince me to move to that truck.
    It looks goofy.
The 4-cyl turbo ain't gonna cut it for long.
What they did to the A-Cab is blasphemy.

My 2021 A-Cab is about to turn 20,000 miles and will be paid off soon.
I'm very happy with it. My son is banking on an early demise so he can get his hands on it.

It's got everything you need and nothing you don't.

If stripped down regular cab trucks with manual transmissions, manual hubs, roll up windows and tape decks sold then Toyota would make it. Unfortunately everyone that bitches about missing the good old days also complains about not having Apple CarPlay, 17 cup holders, 12k pound tow rating and room for a family of ten in their midsize truck.

Ah nostalgia..... I paid right at 35K in 2012 for my GMC Sierra Crew Cab Z71 (5.3L) It has 115K on it now and runs like it's new. Then again, I have also done 3-5K oil changes on it and I defeated that AFM (4 cyl mode) shit when it was new. Looks new too. But those days are gone. Toyota lost their freaking mind with the 24s and the pricing. I think I'll stick with my 23 and in the long term I think it's going to retain quite a bit of value. "IF" Toyota brought pricing WAY DOWN, I might take a more serious look in about 3 or 4 years when that new engine has had some time to be tested by a lot of people. If I were trading sooner, I'd look for another brand and a V8. But those are going away too. I think truck buyers are screwed in the future. I might be driving a Camry XSE shortly. I drove a friend's the other day and was SHOCKED at how powerful and nice that car was. Hadn't been in a Camry in probably 20 years.

Was hoping to replace my 2011 Tacoma with a 2024. Back in 2011 the 4x4 Tacoma was approximately the same price as a Camry. Fast forward to 2024 and the lowest cost Tacoma is approx. 14K more than Camry. 8K more than last year. No thank you!

That was my fuel economy on my test loop in Eco mode in the SE I tested yesterday. Drove an XSE too. Once I check out the XLE I have a decision to make. I love my truck.

    Are you buying for me?

Make it less ugly/factory dented, calm all fears of the 4cyl turbo setup, verify the audio system can be gutted without affecting driveability, and pay for it because I don't want to.

I’ve owned several Gen3’s and previously would not even look at any other midsize trucks. So naturally I just assumed that I would slide into a ‘24 a year or so after launch.

While I don’t doubt the significant improvements that Gen4 offers, specifically in ride(coils) & power delivery(8speed), overall the new one only has me appreciating my current Tacoma in a whole new light. The fact that mine has appreciated in value over the last few months is just icing on the cake.

And lately, I’m even saying nice things about Nissans and Ford’s…
