I’m in the process of refurbishing a damaged OEM headlight. Bought a heavily damaged headlight and took it apart to facilitate the repair process. I was really surprised to see a dozen circuit boards and a couple of “black” boxes, and a cooling fan. All systems work perfectly, Cost me $40 for the headlight, $35 for a set of repair tabs, $18 for a set of adapter cables, plus glue and sealant for one side will be just over $100. Now I just have to get a passenger side light. It’s not cosmetically perfect but the trunk is 8 years old now so neither is she. Anyone have a good source for inexpensive headlights?

FYI, I searched Craigslist, Offer Up, and Facebook marketplace and was able to find a passenger side headlight for $100. Now I just have to finish refurbishing them and get them installed.

Okay, got it all finished up. Total cost was $228. Now I just have to sell the old headlights.

Sold my halogen headlights for $175, not bad changing over to LED lights for just over $50. Next project will be a power driver’s seat.
