Hey, I'm vince and I'll just be frank, I don't know too much about vehicles and I've been doing the best I can to get started before I get my truck in 2~ months.

I know the prerunners are an amazing trim, I'm excited I got a 1st gen Tacoma as I'm an 80s-90s toyota fanboy you could say lol. The truck is already at 228k miles for an 01!

Is there anything you would tell someone who just got this truck to be wary or aware of? What all can this truck do? What can this type of truck handle? Any mods or upgrades you would recommend in the future? I'm not looking into anything extreme, just a simple daily driver that's capable of going trailriding

Appreciate all of you and it's nice to be here.

Be aware of rust problem areas. It is capable of easy and moderate trails, but probably won't easily get you out of a mudhole. Change out all the fluids and plugs if you don't know that they've been done recently. A good A/T tire will get you most places. Mods and upgrades are a personal preference. A rubber bed mat and floor mats are worth spending a few bucks on. Fix stuff you break or see a need and build it as you see fit. Enjoy it, it's just a truck.
