    Gentlemen,
I have to give a real review of this shift knob. After Toyota replaced my frame 3yrs ago my stick was out of line. I don't grind gears and I didn't @ that time, but it bothered me. So I purchased the URD short shifter and replaced the plastic thing over the shift ball in the tranny. It was so nice and crisp, I loved it ALL EXCEPT FOR REVERSE.....TALK ABOUT DIFFICULT.

So my factory leather shift knob was almost completely worn through, so I was looking online for new shift knobs and I found the greatest shift knob for my URD sts. My reverse is smooth as silk and it is the correct weight to which the URD sts needed.

It is solid metal AND huge AND you can get different color alan head screws for effect as inlaid. The thing only is if you live in COLD temperatures.....it's cold to handle @ first.

They have them for auto and manual. Mine was $110, BUT COMPLETELY WORTH IT.

I will try and link her soon.
    Brian

Easy install? Tools needed? I might go with this instead of the TRD knob!

Sorry for the delayed response. The shift knob is from AJT. Google AJT SHIFT KNOB. It's metal and big and easy to handle. No skinny, sport car shift knob, but a real truck, shift knob. I'm a truck driver, I know what I'm talking about.

I mean, OK, it's a nice concept w/ good design effort put into it. But $100+ for a monolithic shift knob (no working buttons / detents inside) -- Uhhh, nope.

These designs are just begging to be copied by a quality off-shore (i.e. Chinese) manufacturing entity & sold in the $35-$40 price range.
