    Hi all,

The time has come to part with my C5. I've owned it since mid-2016 and put approximately 12,000 miles on it. I've enjoyed it, but the time has come to go back to my first love. I have title in hand and the car is ready to go. This car is an excellent driver level car

    Specs:
    • Navy Blue Metallic
    • 6-speed manual transmission
    • Dual power Sport seats
    • approximately 85,000 miles (will increase slightly over the season).

    The Good
    • EBCM is good
    • SWPS is good
    • All electronics work (seats, mirrors, etc)
    • 1-4 Skip Shift Disabled
    • Firestone Indy500 Tires are datecoded mid-2020 (purchased in April 2021 - approximately 4,000 miles of usage on them)
    • Harmonic Balancer was replaced with a Summit Racing SFI unit
    • HVAC illumination is good
    • Radio Flyer / Sharp Light Innovations switchback DRL kit
    • Morimoto Elite 3,000K HID Fog Lamp Kit
    • Vosla HIR headlight bulbs with new OEM motors.
    • OEM C6 Z06 shift assembly
    • OEM C6 Z06 Carbon Edition suede shift knob and boot
    • Pioneer CarPlay Head Unit
    • Custom Boston Acoustic Stereo (amplifier, component speakers, coaxial speakers, subwoofer)
    • Rear view camera
    • Viper 2-way alarm
    • Recent Ridies replacement seat covers with rebuilt driver seat (new foam, padding for seat wires, seat rocking gaskets).
    • Corsa Indy Pacecar Axleback Exhaust
    • Paint is commensurate with the age and mileage. There is no fade / failing clear (outside of a tiny spot at the bottom of the rocker you'd never see unless I told you) and only the normal swirls and rock chips of use. I have photographed the most visible of these marks.
    The Average
    • I purchased the car in 2016 with a clean CarFax. I question if the driver side fender might have been repainted, but I'm not an expert in bodywork. I'm just disclosing out of an abundance of caution to avoid any "I told you sos". Please feel free to run a CarFax to verify.
    • The interior temperature sensor cover is missing
    • The CarPlay connection can occasionally act up. Usually cycling power will solve it. I've never had it not work.
    • The AC requires a charge approximately every two years. I did it in 2021 and 2023. It's currently blowing cold.
    • When I rebuilt the seats the driver seat is a 99-04 style, the passenger side is a 97-98 style with the different lumbar pump. The passenger side seat cover had some dye come off when I was cleaning a fingerprint. It's difficult to capture in photos and you wouldn't notice it if I didn't point it out, but it's there.
    • Targa weeps a bit in the rain, but I basically never drove it in the rain so it wasn't an issue for me.
    • After driving one hour plus I'll get a gas gauge hiccup 25% of the time I drive it. Restarting the car solves it and I've been redoubling my Techron usage.
    The Bad
    • The oil pressure sensor does not work. I had always planned on replacing it with a relocate when I did an LS6 intake, but life happened.
    • The clutch occasionally sticks when the weather is cooler (below 65°F) I am losing clutch fluid level and anticipate it's a master or slave cylinder. In the warmer weather it's fine, but it will need attention sooner versus later.

Price: $SOLD I live about 30 miles southeast of Boston. I will also be listing this locally and it's going to be first come, first serve as far as sales go. I'm happy to answer any questions.

Sweet C5, I have one too. Question for ya, how do you like the Vosla HIR headlight bulbs? I really need to figure out an upgrade over the stock bulbs.
Also what car is your first love that you're looking to return to?

I like them. They’re about as good as you can get with the stock assemblies. Obviously LED isn’t an option because crappy drop on bulbs. I had the RadioFlyer / ACA projectors but the pop-ups had so much play in them that the cutoff strobed so they came out. Also the C5 needs 55w to run the pop-ups which don’t play well with HID so if the car sat for more than a few days the headlights didn’t work.

I’m going back the Subaru, sadly or not.
