Ok this is just so cool. I couldn’t imagine having something like that in my Monkey.
Would be a cool project though.

Placed an order for a quick shifter for the FZ1. I had a Healtech quick shifter on there before I sold it but it failed on me. Only lasted one season. I bought a new sensor but that didn’t work so it was in the computer part. Contacted Healtech and they said it was out of warranty. I was a bit pissed and threw it in the trash and said I would never buy a Healtech quick shifter again.
So when it came time to put a quick shifter on the R3 I did some research and found Annitori quick shifter. It worked flawlessly on the R3 so I went ahead and ordered one for the FZ1. Quick shifters are fun and sound so good when doing full throttle up shifts.

Thank you. Thanks to everyone that tagged along virtually. It was a good ride. More challenging than other rides I'd done and a heck of a first IBA ride for @FreshOldTaco . We cover 1132 miles in 23 hours and about 15 minutes so only a 45 minute cushion at the end. We had crazy thick fog in the early morning hours in the Pocono mountains in northeastern PA. Visibility at time only about 50 feet dropped our speeds. Temps dropped to 51 degrees so we had to pull over and add layers to get warm. His KTM has less fuel capacity so we knew that would mean an extra fuel stop or 3. Saw 2 deer on the route, 1 close enough to the road we could have petted it. By far the quickest either of us ever got into Philadelphia. Heading into the city at 2:30 is the hot ticket. Weather the entire ride was in our favor, no rain, Temps reasonable. Traffic was never horrible.

Still need to submit our paperwork but it should go through smoothly.

I'm going to try to get these two IBA rides done this summer.

Haul Road 1000 - a SS1K from North Pole (where I live) to Deadhorse and back.
    https://ironbutt.com/themerides/haulroad/index.html

    haulroad 1000.png

And a nested SS1K and Bun Burner 1500. Leg one is the SS1K down to Valdez, across to Homer and then a little backtrack to Seward for a nap which should take about 20 hours with gas stops and cover 1045 miles. The final leg from Seward back home should take 9.5 hours with gas stops and is 500 miles so in theory I could get about 6 hours of sleep and still finish in the 36 hour window.

I did my first cold plung today and holy crap that was crazy. I started with 35 min in the sauna then a cool off in front of a fan then back in the sauna for 20 min. Then I filled up the bath tub with the water on full cold and waited. When it was full I set a timer for three min and got in. My legs and up to just below my chest was in and Fuck it was cold. It took a min to get my breathing calm then I just put my arms in upto the elbow. I couldn’t get the courage up to get the upper body in. Did my three min and got out. I feel amazing just from that. I will get to the point where my upper body will be in but not just yet. I had to start somewhere.

Not the prettiest but good enough for $30 if it works.

Forgive my ignorance, but what’s the engine size difference?

Went down the rabbit hole. People are getting 34hp on the dyno with a cbr300 swap. That would be fun. :bikewheelie2:

Yes you do. Like he said if you want the most power this is the engine you want.
