I've been mulling the bed step that attaches to the frame on the driver's side, but have not been able to find any pics of WHERE on the frame it mounts.

My problem is that I have a 2013 base 2.7 (5-lug), and I know sometimes things are supposed to work/fit, but minor differences get in the way.

This is a pic of the tail end of the frame where it meets the bumper. The red arrow points to the front. Which bolts would be used/would it require drilling? From pics of the mount, it LOOKS like it would be the two bolts at the front of the pic, but sometimes it looks like it would be the lower bolt on the right, and I would have to drill where the "blank" hole is just above that?

    Thanks for any help/pics!

If you go to 5:17 in the video it will show you where it mounts to the frame.

I think they have adapters for different model trucks. As long as you get one for your yr. It should bolt right up.

It uses the two up front. This is for an AMP brand step.

    PERFECT - THANKS AMUNDO!!!
Looking at images/pics of the "raw" amp kit and OEM kit, the mounting would be the same - ie. the two front bolts in my pic.

Does any one know if these can be mounted on either side of the truck or is it just driver side only?

My understanding is it is NOT interchangeable by side, but I THINK someone makes a version for the right side.

Unless you ABSOLUTELY have to have it on the right, you could get one and try it, and if it doesn't fit, install it on the left.

It LOOKS like the part that bolts to the frame can be bolted to the main part two ways if needed (I also THINK the bolt holes align the same on the right), but I'm not so sure that even if you could do that it would open/close in the right orientation/direction or the pad would be installable in a "usable" position.

When I get mine, if someone else doesn't chime in, I will try to see if will mount to the right frame (not actually install though), and if so, would it work correctly.

Just looking at it, 99.999% sure it won't work on the right side of the frame...
