I'll state upfront I'm far from a seasoned audiophile techie. I dabble in it enough to be dangerous and broke. That said thought i could get some knowledgeable direction. Be gentle...

I would love to find a good head unit only replacement for my fàctory JBL 8/1 system. (06 Sienna). The early 06 navigation unit is over complex and difficult to use, glitchy and out dated. I'd like to find a H/U that would intragrates well to all the other o.e. Items like steering wheel controls, factory amp, high qyality backup and rear cd. One that keeps the strong receiver strength, sound separation and clarity quality along with upgraded/updated navigation.

On other cars I've gone with Kenwood excellon expensive flagship h/u"s (both DNN 992 and the DNX series) and had lousy results. Even the DSP sucked next to the JBL surround sound (Sienna mentioned above).

    Thoughte?
