    I have a few questions.

I am working on a 2001 Tacoma prerunner. I have to replace the right hand wheel bearing and hub.

    1. Press bearing into steering knuckle first then press onto hub or does it matter?

    2. How far do you press the bearing on?

    3. What is the torque of the retaining nut?

    1) You will press the hub out first. This will expose the snap ring holding the bearing in. Remove the snap ring and press out the bearing outwards from the back. Install is the opposite. Press the bearing in from the outside inwards. You'll go until it hits the lip on the backside. When you can get the snap ring back in you know you're good. Then you'll press your new hub on. Make sure that you press the bearing from the outer edge and when you press the new hub on the back race is supported or you'll press it out.

I have ordered a new knuckle, hub and bearing. It does not show a snap ring. How tight for the jam nut?
