My 2002 TRD PreRunner Tacoma has 109967 miles and the OEM Bilstein shocks are quite bouncy. I'm thinking shock replacement is due. I spend 95% of my travel on pavement. I'm not interested in changing ride height. Just replace as is.
Looking for a comfortable ride. Are there any aftermarket recommendations for this? I know that the Bilsteins have a great reputation, just wondering if there is a good lower cost solution.
    Thanks!

Welcome :hattip:Honestly, you might be hard pressed to find low-cost alternatives than Bilsteins, that said, unless you've done so already, take a look at these brands:

King, Fox, Eibach, ADS, ICON, KONI

Not 100% sure if you do any off-roading, but this video provides a good overview of the aforementioned brands:

Thx for the reply. The Bilsteins are probably what I’ll do I just wanted to see if there were any recommended options from the Tacoma “nation”.
I won’t be off roading beyond an occasional dirt road and rarer brief two track.
I appreciate the response and suggestions.
