Hi, asking the question here cause I imagine they might be somebody who owns an Acura on this forum. I’ve got a friend I’m gonna help with some basic maintenance on his Acura TLX and I was wondering if anybody knows is there a discount Acura OEM website that is similar to some Toyota ones where you can order at OEM Toyota part at a discount and then some local dealer will sell to that price if there’s anything like that, I haven’t been successful trying to find it. Thank you.

Just like with Toyota, there are multiple. I've historically used www.acuraautomotiveparts.org & www.hondaautomotiveparts.com but also go thru a friend who has worked at Acura/Honda dealers over the years. Acura Automotive Parts has great prices but shipping can kill you if you're only buying a couple things or small items.

Personally, if possible, I always prefer to buy locally so I can pickup and avoid shipping. I've found my local Honda dealer has a way to order online and have the parts shipped or pickup directly from them. The interface is terrible and it can be hard to find parts so it's not ideal, but it has still been helpful.

I'd suggest checking your local dealer to see if you can order online at a discount and pick up in store. If that doesn't work then check with Acura Automotive Parts and do a google search for other sources - there are many and prices vary from site to site. Online interface also varies a lot and AAP uses the normal Honda inventory tool so for me that's one of the easier ways to find parts.

Oh, and don't forget that some parts are available thru Honda and will almost always be cheaper if bought from Honda rather than Acura. Things like oil filters, gaskets and lots of the standard maintenance parts are shared across many Honda/Acura platforms so you can buy from Honda.
