I have a California emissions 2001 ext cab 2.7L 4x4 5-speed. Took this out and looking for options for replacement due to cracking and leaking, some say cold weather package only, is this one of those? I see no fluid level sensor. Rockauto does not seem to have any in stock, any help or link to a new one is appreciated. Pump still works!

I see a washer fluid reservoir, and a fluid pump.
I’d think you could use any reservoir and pump you want out of any 1st Gen Tacoma?

    Unless I’m missing something?

The pump is just a 12v motor.
Worst case, you wire up the new assembly to fit.

Im looking for which one to buy new since there seems to be a few options for cold weather and I dont know if thats what this is. This seems to have a shield, so maybe??

You need to take that black cover off and check the bottom for a level sensor. I found mine on Amazon.

Level sensor is on the bottom with a big rubber grommet. If you have no hole in the bottom, you have no level sensor.

Typically the "cold weather" option is just a protrusion built into the bottle that prevents you from completely filling the reservoir so that if you forget to fill up with -40* fluid and it freezes, there is room for the fluid to expand without breaking the bottle. Of course look fully at yours and the potential new one to make sure the hole(s) line up but otherwise a cold weather bottle will just have a smaller capacity unless you modify it to not leave an air gap in the bottle.
