I just replaced all four motors in my '14 and took a bunch of pictures in case mine came apart (the pictures below are of the front passenger side but they are basically identical to the driver's side). I was worried that some of the pieces may have moved out of place, but if you look at the pieces that have grease you can see where the pieces should go and cycle the latch before you clamp the top back on. Now I have four functioning door locks with one small issue. When I lock the truck with the key fob, the doors lock and then try to lock again only with the fob. In another thread it was pointed out that I likely have an issue with one of the detection switches (small switch attached to the plastic piece with the motors and where the harness plugs into the actuator on both the driver and passenger side). Hope this helps. I've gotten a lot of good info and pics from these posts.IMG_20181230_164545.jpg IMG_20181230_165548.jpg IMG_20181230_165557.jpg

My passenger side door has been acting weird lately. Sometimes it locks and unlocks but then sometimes it doesn't open and I have to use the key. This thread has helped me a lot diagnosing the problem, very thankful. Instead of trying to clean the motor I think I will buy a new one and hope it works.

Finally broke down and replaced mine today. Both front doors actuators were not working. Hour and half and reviewing this post a few times and we were done. Thanks everyone. A90B70C5-0EF3-403D-B772-571BBF3B75B9.jpgEF7FFFFE-0EBA-4C3E-8F27-11CA29E49095.jpg

I rarely post anything here, but I really needed to give thanks to those of you in this thread, especially those who posted pictures of the inside of the actuator.
Mine went bad quite a long time ago, finally got around to doing it and although I knocked several pieces out, those pictures helped me get it back together and thankfully in 100% working order. Thank you gentlemen!

So my buddy has a 2016 Sport and his drivers side lock quit working and I'm assuming the little electric motor needs swapped out or the carbon cleaned off the inside. Anyone have a 2016+ and have any problems with their lock actuators if they are the same motors as the 2nd gen. I know it needs a 20mm long motor shaft and was going to order this off of Amazon and go ahead and take it out and replace it.

I just discovered the passenger door on my 2001 won’t lock. No power lock, no manual lock, no key (key won’t even turn to the “lock” direction). Is this a symptom of a bad actuator?
