Hello everyone! Recently bought a used 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport a couple months ago with 58k miles on it. Have been driving it daily since purchasing it and ran into a brake override and pre collision system malfunction these past couple days and the truck has been going into limp mode every time it happens. I've almost been in some crashes on the freeway because of this sudden limp mode and need it fixed asap. To get it out of limp mode, I fully turn off traction control and it lets me drive normal, but the dash lights still go crazy. Dashboard basically lights up like a Christmas tree and a check engine light pops up. I scan the OBD code and I am getting P2121 a bad throttle position sensor. I also noticed that cruise-control has fully stopped working or no message at all. Does anyone here by any chance know if replacing the throttle pedal and brake pedal stop switch will 100% fix this issue, or any work arounds? I have looked absolutely everywhere and can not find a solution to this problem :/ . Thanks everyone!

I am sure there are codes (pending/historical possibly) for that issue. You need to have someone pull them to decipher what the issue might be. I would not go replacing parts without at least getting an idea of what the issue might be.

If you want to drive down the freeway wondering if the problem is fixed, start shotgunning parts.

If you want to drive down the freeway knowing the problem is fixed, do the hard work to troubleshoot it.
